In the field of e-mobility, the torques and forces to be transmitted are increasing more and more, while flange connections are becoming smaller at the same time. Here, DIAGRIP friction shims and direct coatings are the ideal system for creating force-fit connections.
Through the perfect choice of diamond grain size, depending on the roughness and hardness of the flange surface, the ideal penetration behavior can be achieved, thus creating a perfect connection without joint gaps. These connections can be released and reclosed as often as desired without impairing their original function.

Wind turbines typically use extremely large flange connections. In order to transmit the extremely high torques, DIAGRIP friction shims are used here. Since the flanges are usually too large to use a one-piece disc, this task must be solved using segmented discs.
